It is your favourite time of day and you are just about to do something you love. You are well rested, having had more than enough restorative sleep and are fuelled by your favourite nutritious foods. You can feel your heart beating steadily as you take deep breaths in preparation. Your mind is totally focused, your thoughts are locked in on what is about to happen.
The voice in your head is your coach: “The time is now, you are ready”, “you have done this before and you can do it again”. From the outside you appear calm, relaxed, totally in the zone. You take a deep breath in whilst methodically going through each of the steps of your next move one by one as if time is standing still for you…
Re-read the above but this time use your full imagination.
Whilst reading, reflect on the following:
Now ask yourself….how does this compare with my current reality?
Welcome,
I have created The Enabler to serve as a vehicle to help you become your best, whatever that looks like.
When you re-read the above passage, I would take an educated guess that the vision in your head is quite different from the vision in mine, however I suspect that both of ours had characteristics of the the 4Ps.
Purpose - a pursuit greater than simply being ourselves. It may be a pursuit of service to others, or the pursuit of a specific goal/ambition.
Productivity - active, creative contribution towards one’s purpose. Delivering real tangible value either for oneself or those whom you serve.
Presence - to be able to focus on and thrive in the here and now without having regretful thoughts about the past or worries of what may be to come in the future. Thoughts are clear and ordered.
Positivity - aspirational, optimistic desire to move towards something rather than away from something.
How does that align with the image in your head?
How do the 4Ps show up in your current day to day?
Whilst the concept of your best may seem fantastical, unrealistic and difficult to grasp, personal and professional experience has shown me that there is a very tangible, realistic process that you can follow to realise it.
Notice that I didn’t say easy, as your best is definitely not that.
However with some hard work, dedication and the right support, it is very possible.
Sceptical? Curious? Motivated?
Good, because I have outlined the process and look forward to joining you in the never ending pursuit of your best.
Stay safe, keep smiling and be kind to yourself.
